ACP places citizens at the heart of physical planning, helping diverse interests and stakeholders find a common path toward community improvement. The result? Broadly-supported plans that reflect locally-defined needs and lead to implementation.
ACP has won the top APA honor in five states over the past six years, the latest being the 2011 APA-Alabama “Outstanding Comprehensive Plan” award for the Lee County Comprehensive Plan. ACP’s previous state honors include: 2010 APA-SC (Charleston County Comprehensive Plan Update); 2009 APA-Ohio (City of Dublin Community Plan); 2009 APA-HI (Kona Community Development Plan); and 2007 APA-PA (Comprehensive Plan for Central Lancaster County).
Jamie Greene was one of 15 speakers featured at the Third Annual TEDxColumbus—a day-long experience that celebrates “A Moment in Time” through discoveries, innovations, and observations that could help shape the City’s future. Jamie's talk was focussed on "Revealing Columbus" for the coming bicentennial year of 2012.
ACP, working with the enginnering firm Burgess and Niple, has kicked off a complex, multi-jurisdictional effort in the Morgantown West Virginia Region. The 18-month effort will develop a regional vision and three distinct plans, a Long Range Transportation Plan for the Morgantown Monongalia Metropolitan Planning Organization, a Comprehensive Plan for the City of Morgantown and a Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Star City.
